Our Product

Together with leading New Zealand paint manufacturer, Resene Paints Ltd, we are constantly refining our Wood-X product to ensure we offer the best possible specialty wood care solution at all times.

The success of Wood-X oil is no accident; rather it has come about from the blending of new technologies with progressively refined, historically proven components.  Where does the quality come from? Wood-X is made up of a high-grade mineral oil and proven Biocide and/or Tint packages.  More importantly, the clever mix of components has been developed by Resene Colourant Research and Development Lab, so you can be assured it ticks all the boxes when it comes to quality.

Don’t take our word for it alone, the following companies have made Wood-X Wood Oil their first choice:

Herman Pacific Ltd – New Zealand’s Cedar Leaders www.hermpac.co.nz

Machinecoat (NZ) Ltd – Market leading factory pre-coating specialist’s since 1994
TimberTECH – NZ’s Timber coating and maintenance specialists
Resene Paints Ltd –  The paint the professional’s use www.resene.co.nz

One of the main features of Wood-X oil is its ability to provide water repellent qualities.  This reduces the speed of moisture uptake and loss in exposed exterior timbers, which will limit the potential for warp, twist, splitting, surface cup and checking.

Unlike cheaper wood oil options, Wood-X oil is by design, more highly refined. Using a higher grade of base oil achieves the speed of surface penetration needed for Wood-X to deliver the true potential of its’ water repellent and timber stabilising qualities.  Lower quality wood oils that simply sit on the timber surface remain vulnerable to wash down and are unable to provide the full benefit that only sub-surface water repellent oils can.

Wood-X penetrating Cedar oil is supplied in either containers of ‘Clear Base’ (free of colour) or in a range of colours from the current Wood-X contemporary colour selection. Colours are achieved by adding tint pots of varying sizes to suit the market standard of 1L, 4L, 10L or 20L pails of ‘Clear Base’.
